Community Meeting Rooms
The Community Center offers 2 small meeting rooms for
any group in the county to use for no charge.Lock-Ins
Churches, Youth Groups, Schools, Boy Scouts,
Girl Scouts and private parties have all rented the
Community Center to host lock-ins. The Center offers
these groups a low cost facility with plenty of
activities available. Lock-ins Friday or Saturday 8:00pm
- 8:00am $175.00 The last day for Lock-ins for the 2009
school year is April 15th.
Birthday Parties
The Community Center is a popular host for private
parties. The Center can be rented during non-peak hours
for private parties. The Community Center may be
reserved Fridays or Saturdays from 5:00-7:00pm or
7:00-9:00pm $30.00 for 2 hours
For the Young at Heart
The Community Center is a popular place for indoor
walking during winter months. Many senior citizens and
area residents enjoy walking indoors.
Basketball Training Camps
During summer months, the Community Center hosts a
number of individual and team basketball camps. Many
years ago, the building was once the gymnasium for the
Gaylord Blue Devils. Today, basketball players love the
feeling of playing in the historic gym.
Private & Home School Physical Education Classes
During the school day, when activity level is low, the
Community Center serves area private and home schools as
a physical education center offering facilities for
basketball, volleyball, tennis, and other indoor and
outdoor sports.
Open Gym Time
Hundreds of young people enjoy the facilities that the
Community Center has to offer every day after school.
It is the meeting place with a safe environment. Whether it
is playing basketball, pool, ping pong, foosball, hockey
or just watching TV, the Community Center is buzzing with
activity every day as soon as school ends.
